En Provence: The Binding Frenzy Continues

Yesterday morning I got the binding on my En Provence top.  This is last year's Bonnie Hunter mystery, and I'm so pleased to get it done before the next one starts!  In  person, this quilt is bright.  It looks a little washed out in these pictures.

The longarming was done by Denise Zapf of Quilting Mojo.  Denise used a handguided pantograph for this quilt.  You can see the quilting best on the neutral squares.  I used the backing fabric for the binding, so I was able to machine bind neatly.

I still have one of my unfinished Celtic Solstice quilt,  another BH mystery from a few years back, hanging in my sewing room closet.  My goal was to have my unquilted tops down to just 10 by the end of this year.  I'm not sure I'm going to make this goal, but I'm trying!  I have three tops at the longarmer now, and one more here to bind.

In other quilt news, I gave away a top I had been hanging onto for years.  My sister-in-law always has nice things about my quilts, and she didn't have one yet.  I had been hoping to draw her name for Christmas and give her a quilt, but I didn't draw her name.  So I just pulled out the top I had been saving  and gave it to her.  She loved it!

This is a Bonnie Hunter freebie, Pineapple Blossom.

Congrats! on finishing En Provence! It's beautiful. The quilt top you gave to your sister in law is so bright and fun. I really like your fabric choices in that one.

The only BH mystery quilt I ever even pulled fabrics for was the Roll Roll Cotton Boil, and I never made it, since I don't really like pink, and that quilt is half pink.

These are both awesome quilts! I really like your En Provence! I'm going back and forth about joining in Bonnie's mystery this year -- I like the color scheme but I don't know if I have enough scraps!

En Provence looks so complex! I like the colors in yours. I'm in the middle of Celtic Solstice. Whew!

Congrats on your finish of En Provence. My blocks are done, the sashing is pieced.....I have to put it all together, but I have 3 quilts ahead of it. Soooo it will have to wait patiently. Congrats again on all your quilts. Great job!

Your En Provence looks wonderful! I still haven't finished Allietare, so I'm debating the next one. I probably should just finish one quilt first, right?

I love the quilting on Provence as well. That whole quilt is just beautifully done. I look forward to the new mystery from you :)
