Easy Street Bound

I decided to bind Easy Street by machine.  It's a big quilt!  Here's half of it:

I don't have a flat space big enough to lay out the whole thing.

I am not a member of the slow quilt movement, but you'd never know it from this quilt.  I started it in November of 2012.
I am keeping this one.  I have a hard time letting scrappy quilts go, even when they don't go with anything in my house.

Easy Street looks really great Laura!
I think scrappy quilts tend to have a lot more heart put into them and plus there is the fascination of seeing all those wonderful scraps. So yes, they are harder to let go.

It turned out nice. I copied the directions for Bonnie's 2011 Mystery, and collected all the fabrics I'd need, but, everything is still sitting in a bucket in the basement. I really didn't like all the pinks and browns in that quilt. I might make it, one day, if I can ever figure out what colors I want, instead.

That's a fascinating thought, not wanting to let scrappy quilts go. They're a window into our lives, aren't they? Matchy, matchy ones are just that. I love the splash of black here and there. Decorators say that each room in your house should have at least 1 black item. I've heard that about quilts too, but it doesn't always work for me. fun finish.

Beautiful! Love the bright scraps in a more traditional block...
