It has been the perfect weather for working outside. I've been doing a lot of weeding in my flower beds, but there is still a lot more to be done. The short purple irises are gone, but this is the peak time for yellow irises.
I remember planting this lavender iris several years ago, but this is the first time it has bloomed.
The rhododendrons are starting to open. They should be in full bloom in a couple of days.
The peonies are almost ready to bloom too. These are young plants, and they should fill out in a couple of years.
It is hard to stay inside and sew when it is so nice out! The pollen is still coming down, but it is getting better. I've done a little sewing, but nothing I can show yet.

Your garden is a week or two ahead of mine. We have had some very warm weather over the past week so our trees and plants are all coming along nicely. Happy stitching to you!
Your garden looks so beautiful Laura. You have a great assortment of flowers!
I was just out this weekend taking photos too. Our crab apple trees burst into full bloom.
32 yards of fabric used so far this year is quite impressive.
Enjoy these lovely Spring days!
Looks so promising where you are...things are starting here, but it's slow after that hard winter. Crocuses are blooming and my primroses are too, but everything else is just poking thru....
