At last SAL check in, I had no stitching to report. Today I have just a little. Three weeks ago, my Southern Sampler looked like this:
After working on the vines for a few hours, it looks like this. I did not tackle any of the queen stitches.

The vines look lovely! Wonderful progress.
This piece is so pretty that it would be a shame to put it down despite the fact that you are dreading those queen stitches. You may never pick it up again.
For me, it would depend how much is left to do on the sampler. If I was close to a finish (with a push) I'd finish it and reward myself with a new project after that. It's so tempting to start something new though, especially if it's on purple fabric. Sounds gorgeous!
looks like you'll be having a happy dance very soon ^^
Those vines make a nice border around the sampler. I bet you get a lot done while waiting for the purple to arrive.🙂
It's looking lovely! What a pretty delicate project with the vines :)
Nice progress! I'm going to try to speed up my stitching because I have another project (or three) waiting in the wings. So maybe the purple aida will have the same effect on you. :)
Do a little bit on that one each time, then switch to the purple project as a reward.
You added great progress with those vines. They really bring the sampler together.
Hang in there, this will look great when finished!
You made some good progress- I just hopped over to the other blogs and the projects are great - so much variety across the group!
Good progress! I love that leafy border ...
Hugs, Carmela
