Grassy Creek Top Finished

I finished my Grassy Creek top yesterday.  I have decided that it is big enough.  I am not going to put borders on it.

I am not in love with this top, so there is no need to make it any bigger.  The design is fine, but my piecing leaves much to be desired.  The sashing is puffy in places because it is just a smidge too big.  In a perfect world, I would have seen this coming an been able to adjust for it, but because this quilt was a mystery, I did not know exactly how the pieces would be sewn together until the sashing was already made with the corners already snowballed.  It was not important enough to me to redo all those pieces, so I just made do with what I had.  My quilt is 82"x82".

It looks good in the photos, Laura. Maybe quilting more densely in the sashing will get rid of any puffiness?

You are much too harsh on yourself, Laura. I like it. When I look at your quilt top and all that piecing, I just think....wow!

Glad it's finished. Sorry you aren't happy with it. That happens.

I think it looks great - will be a good one for busy quilting and a good run in the dryer to crinkle it up - you’ll never see the issues then!

I really can't see anything wrong with your quilt. It's lovely and the colors are lovely.
