About 6 years ago, I participated in a round robin with a group called the Twilters ( quilters who tweet). I never used Twitter very much, but I still joined the group. My round robin started out as a 12 inch block. The fun part about a round robin is you never know what the finished quilt is going to look like. If you have very strong opinions about how you want your round robin to look, you should probably just do it yourself. Round robins are all about letting go of creative control.
I decided I wanted a neutral quilt, using fabrics that weren't on the color wheel. Each person in the group added a round to the quilt. Tami Knox did the next round, followed by Tina Rose, Daisy Fredericks, Darla McFarren and Diane Rincan. Each of these women also sent out a center block, so I worked on their quilts too. My quilt came back years ago, but it just sat until I decided to add a couple of borders to make it a more usable size.
Here's my finished quilt.
Denise Zapf of Quilting Mojo did the custom longarming. Denise is also a Twilter. I found her originally in the Twilter Facebook group, and she has done many other quilts for me.
The backing is a William Morris print. I love the giant scale of the leaves.
This quilt is 64" square.
