Summer Stars On Fawn Lake

Summer Stars on Fawn Lake has sat in a box for many months. This was last year's mystery quilt by Charlotte Hawks.  I pulled it out this week and finally got the top together.  All I needed to do was to sew 7 rows together.

I used  a lot of odd balls and ugly fabric in this quilt.  This quilt is ok. I like that I got to use up scraps, but the top isn't something I'm excited about finishing.  Sometimes when I feel this way about a quilt my longarmer can fix it.

It is a big quilt (84"x96") already, but I think it would look better with some sort of border.  I am used to more dense piecing, and it doesn't seem finished to me yet.

Stash Report: Used this week: 6.5 yards (SSFL top)
Used year to date: 15.5 yards
Added this week: 0
Added year to date: 24.25 yards
Net Added:  8.75 yards

It is a great finish. If you don't like it I'm sure you can find someone that does. Even a charity. It is a lovely quilt.
