I just finished machine binding On Ringo Lake. This is a super scrappy quilt, so scrappy that it borders on chaos. I have a couple of pieces turned the wrong way, but I decided to leave them because most of the time, I can't even find them.
I don't usually piece backs of quilts, but I wanted to use up some of my biggest scraps. This space fabric had all the right colors. And it looks 3D if you use the special glasses. I used this print a few years ago in a quilt I made for my UFO-believing BIL.
Denise Zapf of Quilting Mojo did the longarming. She uses a hand-guided Gammel. The quilting barely shows up on the front, but you can see it on the back . You can't tell from this picture, but this piece is very light green.
I am not sure who is going to get this one. There are a several adults in my family who haven't gotten quilts yet, but I am not sure all of them (or any of them!) would appreciate a blue and orange quilt.

As always, when I look at any of your quilts, Laura, I think how amazing you are at piecing. I love the total scrappiness of this quilt. The back is fun and the quilting pattern adds to the 'fabulousness' of this quilt. A wonderful finish, Laura.
I do like your quilt. I agree it is very busy, but it is lovely. I am fascinated by the space fabric.
I did mine in the colours that Bonnie had but changed up how I put my blocks together. My younger son came home for a few days and I asked him if he wanted it. He did, so mine went to a new home.
I don't plan on doing Bonnie's mystery this year... but plans can change!
It can be hard to find a good home for quilts.

I like it. I have a Round Robin quilt that one of the pieces is turned wrong. My son pointed it out as I was starting to hand quilt it. I could have fixed it, but, decided that I liked it that way, since it gave me a special remembrance of that lady. I've never (and will never) tell her about that corner, but, each time I see it, it makes me smile. If I'd fixed it, I would have forgotten about it, and not remembered all the fun times we've had sewing together over 15 years.
Your Ringo Lake turned out great! I've never heard of the 3-D fabric--fun!
I think it's gorgeous! I love the energy and the colors!
I too love the scrappiness. It's a brilliant piece Laura.
