As far as the snow goes, we got about 14 inches. The last of our boys went off to college in August, so I got my husband a snowblower for Christmas. I thought he might use it a few times a season, but he has used it 5 times over the past 3 days! Pretty funny considering it was 70 degrees Christmas day. He is the envy of the cul de sac now, and I think my siblings in Fredericksburg, VA (about 2 feet) and Loudon County, VA (30+inches) might be purchasing one very soon.

How fortuitous you bought your husband a snowblower. It seems he was in need of it. Gorgeous house. It looks lovely in that wintry landscape of snow and blue skies.
I bought a snow blower, at a garage sale, when I moved here. This is the first winter that I haven't even pulled it out, since we don't have hardly any snow (usually, we have 6+ inches by this time in January). Hopefully your's will melt quickly
Your husband was lucky you were such a smart woman! We got lucky and only received 2 inches this time around. Your numbers will jump impressively when you get your quilt back from the longarmer, so you are doing great on your stash.
Your home looks like a cover shot for House Beautiful magazine. Just lovely.
That's a lot of snow, but it's so pretty!
