I had hoped to get some of the rows stitched together yesterday, but I didn't get any sewing done because I met my brother and his kids at Jamestown. The kids loved grinding corn, petting the animal pelts, climbing on the boats, and crowing at the chickens. The colonial armor and weapons were also big hits. When we took our kids to Jamestown, they were in late elementary school, and they spent the whole day whining that it was boring and they were hot. My nephews, ages 4 and 3 couldn't have had more fun. It was a great day! And their admission was free because they are under 6.

Oh my goodness! Your quilt top is glorious. And those little boys look absolutely charming in those helmets. All three of them.
Oh how adorable are your nephews!! AND.....as for your quilt top, it is stunning!!
I can't believe how much sewing you have done since time. It is a little hard to see all of the colours in this quilt clearly, but they are really talking to me. I don't normally associate colours and emotions, but on this one I really am. The yellow still makes me think of happiness, and is the overriding colour; the orangey and reddish colours make me think of strength; and some of the blues and browns make me think of an inner calmness, while the darker colours make me think of a deep sadness.
Cute photo of the boys.
