Scrap-In-A-Box

I completed Clue 4 of Scrap-In-A-Box today.   I'm honestly not in love with this top, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would.  I used some really ugly prints and colors that weren't my favorites.

I need to decide on colors for the sashing and borders, but that is next month's project.  Right now  I'm leaning towards a forest green Christmas print.

Forest green would be nice, and tone down the colors a bit. Nice looking.

I love scraps and even ugly ones get either hidden or find their place when mixed with others. I didn't realise that what currently looks like sashing is actually your flooring. How about a beige or white - always freshens things and makes colours sing.

I love, love, love this. All the scraps mixed in together (even the ugly ones!) are gorgeous. I too like the idea of beige sashings.

Perhaps something lighter like an off white or taupe for the sashing and then darker for the boarder? I think that'd help each block "pop". :-) Neat block design, I really like it!

I like the lighter color as well, but I always like to try out a ton of color ideas as well! Good luck!

the blocks themselves are cool, and the right sashing will add a lot - you might try something unexpected such as a black & white print, or something really bold, or even splicing the sashing into different fabrics to bring out the oranges - just a thought...thanks for sharing. We don't always love everything we try, but we learn from all of it...

I like the idea of a black and white print too. Or maybe a charcoal solid.

Those prints don't look ugly at all to me - in fact I love the way the blocks all look together! I'm looking forward to seeing how you decide to do the sashing Laura. I bet you pull a rabbit out of a hat and end up really liking this quilt!
