Round Robin

Sometime last year I joined a quilting round robin organized by Daisy of Lazy Daisy Quilting Podcast.  I got put into a group with 5 other ladies.  All of us started with a center block of our own style and color.  Here's what I sent out:

I love the look of neutral quilts, but I don't like to make them because COLOR is my first love.    I thought a round robin would be a good way to get help making a neutral quilt.  You will notice that all I had to do on my quilt was a 12 inch square!  Even someone  who likes to sew colorful quilts can handle a 12 inch neutral square.

Look what it grew into:

The ladies who worked on my quilt have such talent!  There is paper piecing, applique, curved piecing and some dimensional blocks.   I can't stop looking at it.

Lovely! Did you send out fabric too? I like how the fabric that you used right in the center looks like it's in almost every border! That's very neat!

Wow, this is cool and what a fun way to end up with a quilt. It's really unusual and sophisticated.
