Why I Love Marigolds

Several years ago I received some marigold seeds in the mail.  I tossed them into the flower bed out back.  Since then, they have volunteered every year.  They start blooming in July and usually bloom until Thanksgiving.  This past week has been colder than usual, and the foliage is starting to droop and turn brown.  But they are still blooming their little heads off.

Your marigolds are definitely merry! I live in a rowhouse so I don't have room for a garden, but sometimes I wish I had one. :o)

I love that they spring up every year. Going to have to get some heritage seeds so they'll do that! I noticed some marigolds in a neighboring yard that looked wonderful after a bit of frost!
