It's already check in time for my stitch along. This time I got one of the Dark Shadows pieces finished.
Another one is almost done.

I've been keeping track of when my first daffodil blooms for many years. Today was the big day!
It has been a slow start this year, but there are many more buds on my flowers, and it is going to warm up next week, so there should be more flowers soon.

I've gotten quite a bit of stitching done on my Dark Shadows pieces since last time. I finished one last time. Now I have three more done and have started on the next one. These are super fast to stitch on aida.
Last summer I saw that Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs was planning a mystery quilt. I decided to join, in the hopes that it would reignite my passion for quilting. I bought Tula Pink fabric for the quilt instead of focusing on using up my stash. This mystery was easy to keep up with: mostly big pieces and just one clue a month. I got my Morewood Mystery quilt sewn together today.
My stitching slump is over. Since our last check in, I have finished Southern Sampler.
I have also gotten a good start on Dark Shadows. There are 6 Dark Shadows charts. I have already finished one of them and am over halfway done with the second.

I finished my Grassy Creek top yesterday. I have decided that it is big enough. I am not going to put borders on it.
I am not in love with this top, so there is no need to make it any bigger. The design is fine, but my piecing leaves much to be desired. The sashing is puffy in places because it is just a smidge too big. In a perfect world, I would have seen this coming an been able to adjust for it, but because this quilt was a mystery, I did not know exactly how the pieces would be sewn together until the sashing was already made with the corners already snowballed. It was not important enough to me to redo all those pieces, so I just made do with what I had. My quilt is 82"x82".
At last SAL check in, I had no stitching to report. Today I have just a little. Three weeks ago, my Southern Sampler looked like this:
