I've gotten the rest of the pumpkins and the last bird blanket-stitched. I've also finished the vines and berries on both sides. I ended up buying a white Clover marking pen to draw out the vines. It worked ok, but skips on the wool.
I haven't really worked on this runner much this week. I was trying to decide if I wanted to do the feather stitching along the outside or not. I think I'm going to do it even though one of my pumpkins and one of the vines are going to be very close to the feather stitching. This project is supposed to be primitive looking, so it won't matter if my spacing isn't perfect. At least that is what I am telling myself!

I always admire people who can do beautiful appliqué. I've tried a couple of times but I seem to make a mess LOL.
I love this table runner! The pumpkins are really quite frightening ^^
I think you’ll be happy you added the feather stitching, it will add just that extra bit of detail. It’s lovely!
Such a cute project -- I love "primitive" applique. Two of the three pumpkins on the end are quite jolly .... and that third one is charmingly menacing! :)
This is cute, Laura. My oh my, those pumpkins have the best expressions!
I´d say: Go for it! Looking great!
That is looking pretty. Just enjoy the process.
It's as beautiful as it's getting, I love the fabric and color used in the little bird! I have to try to make one ..
Hugs, Carmela
What a fun project to work on during Autumn!!
The pretty twirly vines make such a difference to this piece Laura. xx
Looks great Laura!
In spite of the difficulties you've encountered with this project it's looking good. Maybe the feather stitching will be more fun to do because you won't be going through the SteamASeam? I'm impressed that you've finished your gingerbread house and that beautiful quilt to boot!
