Week 23, PoD Block

I worked on my sewing room this weekend and got rid of two 33 gallon trash bags worth of scraps. I have another one that is half full. I am a scrap quilter, but even I couldn't have used up all those scraps, and I don't want to leave them for my children to throw away.

There is still a lot to do, but I've moved things around and swept the floor.  To anyone other than me, it looks pretty clean.   I haven't touched my chest, full of miscellaneous sewing notions, fusibles, old cross stitch projects.  I also haven't touched my 3 plastic sets of drawers or the shelves.  If I set my mind to it, I could have the whole thing done in a couple of days.

I am not sure if I have my sewing motivation back or not, but I did manage to finish this week's PoD block before Friday.  This is another block of books.

I also spent some time working on my next Sew Many Strips quilt.  This will be my fourth one. So far I've made it in cool colors:

In batiks:

In Fall colors:

The next one will be anything goes.  I'm trying to use up some odd ball fat quarters and want to get mix of colors. I may also reverse the darks and the lights because I have already made too many light units.

That is a lot of scraps to get rid of.

Looking forward to another "Sew Many Strips" quilt. It looks great in any colour scheme, it seems.

That is a lot of scraps. I'm not much of a scrap quilter. Anything fat quarter in size is a scrap to me. Have fun making the 4th quilt with your scraps.
