One Nation

It's time to check in with my cross stitch group.  I've forced myself to work on One Nation the past few weeks.  I've lost my cross stitching joy, but I'm making a little progress. Here's where I was 3 weeks ago:

Here's where I am now:

I am finding the white stripes very hard to work on.  I may try stitching during the daylight to see if that helps.

To see what others in the group are working on:

I always find it difficult to stitch white on the darker fabrics. A bright light and a magnifier seem to help. This project is really lovely.

The white must be insanely difficult! We recently got some of those new daylight bulbs, and I have discovered that sitting with the one flexible lamp shining in my work (and not me) has really made a difference in being able to stitch whenever. Excellent progress though, glad you are safe and well.

Daylight will definitely help with the white stitching. You've made a lot of lovely progress but if you're lacking motivation, pick up a small project for a couple of SAL updates and then return to the flag when you're ready. A change is as good as a rest, so they say :-)

Good progress! I stitch a lot at night and I have two good lights on - one Ott light and one magnifying light. It makes all the difference when there is low contrast. Hope you start to enjoy it a little more!

Yes to daylight. I can only cross stitch in daylight now even with my Ott lite by me. I didn't realize the states were all listed in this one...beautifully done by you, btw. Never fear, your stitching mojo will return!

Yes, that white would be hard to sew on. You need good light.
