My design wall never remains empty for long. I have a lot of scrap quilts in progress. Here is one of them:
These string blocks were made a couple of years ago when I was regularly participating in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. For some reason, I made a lot of blue blocks and fewer of the other colors. I will use up most of the blocks if I use this layout, which is my goal. Two of my sisters have mentioned they would like another scrap quilt, so it will probably go to one of them. I like to give quilts to people who appreciate them and will use them.

Ooh, that's lovely! It's making me want to make lots of string blocks.
I really like this block & quilt. Great colors! I, too, much prefer to give quilts where they'll be appreciated, so I'm also grateful to be told when they won't be! I'd rather know ahead of time than be resentful later, you know?
Wow, as you say your design wall is never blank for long. Another fabulous quilt in the making. Love all those delightful strips.
I have not made a string block yet, but I think I need to try to use up some of the bags of scraps that I have here. Your colors are so cheerful and happy. The combination of colors looks great, too.
Great string blocks...
That will be another fun, bright quilt. I like it.
I have some string blocks, and your post encourages me to put them together. I love all your colors. Thanks for linking with Design Wall Mondays, Judy
Love your string blocks! I made them a few years ago too, but not enough to make a quilt yet - need to get back to them one of these days!
