I was on the fence about whether or not to join Bonnie Hunter's latest mystery, but I've jumped in again. Here is clue one:
I'm doing different colors than Bonnie is. I like her colors, but it makes no sense to me to buy a lot fabric to make a scrap quilt when I have bins of fabric sitting around. I don't have a lot of the raspberry color she is using in her quilt. I have pink or red. I chose red for the mystery because I'm already working on a pink scrap quilt. So far, I'm thinking red, gold, blue, and maybe green or gray.
I've done every BH mystery since Roll, Roll, Cotton Bowl. I kept this one.
I kept Orca Bay too.
And I kept Easy Street.
I made all the blocks for a king sized Celtic Solstice, but I ended up making 3 tops out of them, 2 lap sized and one baby quilt. I donated 2 of them but still have this one hanging in my closet, unquilted.
Grand Illusion was a big quilt, and I didn't like the colors after I got it done. I donated it to charity, unquilted.
I gave Allitere to my Uncle.
I loved En Provence. I gave this one to my sister as a reward for taking my 80 year old mom new car shopping.
On Ringo Lake went to my dad's favorite caretaker after my dad died.
I kept Good Fortune.
I also made Carolina Christmas, one of Bonnie's Earlier mysteries, but I didn't do it as a mystery, and I changed the borders. This one is quilted, but I haven't used it yet.

Since Bonnie is doing Texas wildflowers for this mystery, there are lots of red wildflowers in Texas (this coming from a native Texan). I've printed out some of her mysteries, but I've never made one. I found Bonnie the day she did the reveal for Roll Roll Cotton Bowl.
Wow! What a great trip down memory lane. I need to find my Carolina Christmas and get it on a bed. (Or did I give it away? Probably not!) Thanks for sharing pics of all these great quilts. Good luck with Frolic.
They are all beautiful.. I hope you enjoy this years mystery too.
Your red and gold 4-patches look good!
It is lovely to see all your mystery quilts gathered together in one post. I love the colour changes you have made, particularly on Easy St and Ringo Lake. Happy Frolicking!
Wow! You have some beautiful quilts there! I've made two of Bonnie's mysteries and am not joining in on this one.... yet.
I like what you've done so far!
