I only had to make six of them, but the crumb piecing is very time consuming. It took me about 6 hours, an hour for each block, to do the piecing. I am getting excited about the way this quilt is coming along.
Two thirds of the blocks are done! I want to use purple and either red or pink for the last colors.

Yes, crumb piecing does take lots of time. I haven't even started on my orange blocks. Maybe they will get done in June.
This piece sure is pretty. Did you save all these crumbs from other projects?
Layout is lookin' good!

Another fabulous quilt on the go, Laura. I am loving the look of this one......but then I seem to say that a lot about every one of your quilts. =) I am becoming a bit boring....sorry, but every quilt you stitch is overspilling with clever design, fabulous colour and pattern; and interest.
This is going to be a spectacular quilt! Gorgeous!
I'm looking forward to seeing your completed quilt. Love the addition of ORANGE!!
I agree with you in that the crumb blocks are time-consuming but they provide an amazing richness to the overall project. Totally worth it. It is already beautiful. Ian sure it will be a gorgeous finish.
