I jumped back into the Rainbow Scrap Quilting Challenge this month. The color is yellow for April. Here are 9 of the string blocks I completed last weekend. I made a couple more after the picture was taken.
I have also been working on Charlotte Hawks's scrap mystery, Summer Stars at Fawn Lake. 96 little stars complete this week!
I know a lot of quilters spend a lot of time organizing their scraps, ironing them, cutting them down into squares of certain sizes, separating them by color.
But beautifully organized scraps are not what I want. I want to sew my scraps into quilts ASAP, so that I don't have to organize and store them.

Lovely string blocks. I look forward to seeing what you make of them at the end of the year.
The yellow string blocks are so cheery!
I'm too lazy to organize my scraps well (hence the 3 big buckets). I think I just need to pull and sew! I think I'll do that after I finish my 2 big projects with a deadline. Thanks for the reminder. Love your star blocks, by the way.
Great sets of blocks!! Nice YELLOW scraps in the mix, too!
Great yellow string blocks!
Great string blocks. Also love your star blocks. I am still trying to get caught up with my scraps. Not so sure it is possible! LOL
Great job of getting those scraps all used up. The yellow string blocks will make a great addition to your quilt.
Great blocks! I was hoping to make a real dent in my scraps through the rainbow scrap challenge this year...it is slow going, so I am going to have to find some ways to use up more of them!
