Jamestown Landing Again

While I was visiting my parents last week, my niece and sister helped me remove the paper from my Jamestown Landing string blocks. That saved me a ton of time!  When I got back in town, I started piecing the rows together.

This quilt is a little tricky to piece.  You have to make sure your string blocks are leaning in the right direction.  A design wall is a big help, but as much as I love my wall, I wish it were a couple of feet longer.

beautiful - I'm pretty sure that whatever size design wall a quilter has, she will start making a quilt that is at least one size bigger:)

This is an amazing quilt in the making, Laura. So much tricky piecing.

I agree with maggie.

Your blocks look gorgeous, and enlisting helpers to remove the foundation papers was a great idea. The colors of this quilt remind me of a perfect day at the beach: nothing but sand and clear blue skies...

Somehow, no matter how big, whatever space available for quilt layout always seems to be a bit too small. :) Very pretty!

How pretty! Awesome of your sister to help remove the papers! That part drives me crazy after 5 minutes.

It is a beautiful quilt. Please share your secret; how were you able to convince others to remove foundation papers for you?
