I spent a lot of time working on Talkin' Turkey, a Bonnie Hunter scrap quilt. I'm going to make mine to use on a king sized bed, so I have a few more blocks to do than she shows in her pattern. I have 2 blocks complete so far. I need to make 36.
I have 58 of these made. I think I need 144.
I have 40 of these made, and I need 144 of them.
All of my red string blocks are done.
And I have all of the 9 patch centers made:
It is going to be a while before this quilt is finished, but since it is for me, there is no rush.

Judging by what I can see, I think it is going to look great!
Wow...that is a lot of piecing. As always your blocks look fabulous, Laura. Superb colours.
It is going to be one fun quilt! Slow and steady wins the race. :)
I have always wanted to do this one but the string piecing has discouraged me, love the way you have broke down the parts, think the blocks will go really fast once all the parts are made.
I love what's happening in your sewing room. That's a great use for string blocks. They make the Turkey Tracks even more interesting. Funny how it didn't talk to me when I visited Bonnie's blog but yours is calling my name. Great job! ;^)
gorgeous reds! Red is the color I use in my bedroom too.
You're off to a great start! Love all the Reds!! Talkin' Turkey is on my quilty bucket list---just don't know what color I want to make yet!!
We both were working on Bonnie Hunter quilts this week! Fun! I love the look of your quilt. Reds are my favorites.
Looking good. Congrats on progress!!
This is beautiful! And since you have so many of the components done already, progress may happen surprisingly fast now!
That looks great so far! I love the contrast of the reds and whites. Lori@ quiltmusings.wordpress.com
This is going to be a very pretty red scrappy quilt.
I love red! :)
