BCQC Update

I've completed all the seam stitching for my crazy quilt class.  Yesterday I started on the silk ribbon embroidery.  I've only done a little silk ribbon embroidery, and every time I do it, I have a hard time getting the tension right.  Silk ribbon needs to fluff a little, so you can't pull the ribbon taut and get beautiful flowers.  I am far from making beautiful flowers yet, but I'm satisfied with my irises.

Wish I had made the flowers a little smaller to make room for some taller leaves.

Have I interested you in crazy quilting yet?  Here's a link to the blog of Kathy Shaw, who teaches the free basic crazy quilting class.  BCQC

I really like the look, but can't imagine committing to a project.

I love all the pretty embroideries on your seams, Laura. As for your
Irises, I think they look lovely. I can't believe this is your first
attempt at them!

This is pretty work Laura, wish I had more time to do some of this embroidery.

So pretty and cute. I've never tried silk ribbon embroidery, but I think it looks beautiful every time that I see it.

I have a whole box of stuff to start a crazy quilt one day. It will probably be years before I start.

I'm thinking that I'm in your crazy quilting class, and I'm very much enjoying it. I'm looking forward to the beading part. It's the process, not so much the end result.
