Our master bedroom is unusually large, so in theory, having my sewing space in the bedroom should work.
But I'm not a neat quilter. Over the years, I've acquired a lot more fabric, tools, and books than I used to have, so the space isn't really big enough. I also don't think all the fabric lint is good for my husband's allergies.
Since two of our children have moved out, I decided to take over one of their bedrooms. Of course, I took the bigger of the two! We had the carpet taken out and put in laminate.
I'm so happy to have a closet just for quilting stuff.
Right now I'm about 3/4 of the way moved into the new sewing room. I should finish the job, but I wanted to stop and sew! This morning I finished Amanda's graduation quilt top:
This quilt was a lot of work, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. All the book titles were embroidered by hand.

The Harry Potter quilt you made for Amanda is absolutely amazing!! She is going to love it! I have all those patterns saved but haven't started any of them yet.
Enjoy working in your new sewing room.
Can't wait to see your space. My sewing room is in the master bedroom, and that's okay by me. We built the room very large so there would be room. Someday, like you, I'll take over one of the other bedrooms. Who knows when that will be!
Wow! That's a beautiful Harry Potter quilt. The embroidery makes it even more impressive. Your daughter is a lucky girl.
Congratulations on the new room and the awesome finish. I'd love to have a Harry Potter quilt, I'm just not sure I'm quite that ambitious. Looks like all the hard work paid off.
Congrats on the new room! I moved onto mine in July and I LOVE it. Your quilt is impressive, I'm sure it will be well loved. It is really a piece of art.
Wow, that's an amazing quilt. I hope you are enjoying your dedicated sewing space.
Sorry...I got distracted from your space as I began admiring that very, very awesome graduation quilt!!!
