I don't know where the light green floral that I used for sashing came from, but I didn't buy it. That fabric has been hanging around here for about 6 years, and I was glad to use up a bunch of it. A lot of the fabrics are my oldest, oddest and ugliest scraps. You'll have to trust me on this because you can't see from the pictures the black and white cows on a peachy-pink background, the 1980s red calico, or the lavender Easter egg print. Several of these fabrics came from bandanas that my dogs got at the groomers. Not all of these fabrics are 'quilt shop' quality, but this quilt is not intended to be an heirloom.
It feels good to cross off another top from my to do list.

Glad another quilt is done. Since I can't see the fabrics up close, it looks great from a distance.
Funny isn't it how fabric trends change over the years.... it might not be current in an "on trend kinda way" but it's a great quilt! I love the charm of scrap quilts and think that some out of date prints just bring more charm! I'm glad you used up some of those not-so-appealing fabrics... I feel badly that we all have so many of them just sitting there, languishing in our cupboards. This quilt will be used and loved...which is the best any quilt can hope for! Great finish!
You have to love scrap quilts for using up the uglies without looking ugly themselves! Lovely quilt and I'm glad the santas survived - well some of them! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
It's so funny how you can take fabrics you don't love and cut them up scrappy and make a great quilt. Love those crazy Santas in the border. It turned out wonderful Laura!
This is a great quilt! I haven't seen this block design before and really like it. I love the Santa border, too!
