March Ornament

I've let my cross stitching slide this month because I 've been doing so much quilting.  Last night I stayed up late to finish my March ornament.  This is a small ornament, but there is a lot of over-one stitching.  For you young cross stitchers, I suggest you do your over-one stitching before you are 45.  Even with magnification, I can't see the way I used to, and I need A LOT more light than before.

Again, I'm missing my camera, so my picture isn't great.  This is Jeannette Douglas Designs' 2010 Stamp ornament.

It is so lovely! And I agree about the over-one stitching. At 35 I'm already noticing a change. :(

I like her stamp ornament. And it's so true about needing more light. I remember reading in the half-light when I was a kid and my grandmother (who was only a little older than I am now--horrors!) would always say I was going to "ruin my eyes." (An eye doctor once told me if you could see to read, it was enough light. Unfortunately, I need so much more light these days! I feel you!

Very pretty! It seems I keep increasing my magnification every time I have to do any over one!

Pretty! I can't even do over-one! I've tried and just frustrated myself. So I'll stick to 2 over.

Pretty work Laura, I know what you mean about the 1 over 1 work. I sometimes reach for my glasses when in fact I am wearing them :-(

This is really pretty! And I know what you mean about being able to see to stitch. I find I need so much more light now than I used to.

Thanks for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party.
